Episode 59: Red Star Rebels Audio!
Four sassy chapters waiting to hit your ears đ„
Welcome to the Pub Dates newsletter! Weâre so glad youâre here.
This newsletter is released as a companion to each podcast episode, and we use it to share the visual elements of our discussion â from mood boards to design sketches, from photos to secret giveaways just for subscribers.
In our latest special episode, we dropped the first four chapters of the audiobook for Red Star Rebels, which is out now!
This newsletter is really just to let you know to check your podcast feeds, because we cannot believe how good the production is on this one.
You might remember the brilliant Nick Martorelli from our Making an Audiobook episode. Well, Nickâs been back at work on Red Star Rebels, and this time he brought a full cast, sound effects, backing music and the works. The narrators are just chefâs kiss good. (And a note from Amie, as I write this newsletter: the narrators made the book even funnier than it was, because they were just that good at hitting my jokes. I adore them.)
You can listen to our latest episode right here.
We also wanted to let you know weâll be back next week with a full episode discussing Red Star Rebels. And, since we probably wonât do a second newsletter for that episode, I (Amie again, Kate really should find a way to supervise me) am going to include this picture, because I know weâll be discussing it under our âwhat weâve been up toâ chat at the start.
Yes, thatâs Kate up onstage at our local Shakespeare in the Park. Said one of the actors: âThis one might be too confident.â Actually, here she is again. She had moves to spare.
And thatâs about it from us for now! Weâre going to share a couple of Red Star Rebels graphics, and of course some links to buy a copy here, and weâd be most obliged if you did. Weâll drop back into your podcast feeds in a week or so to talk all about the book itself!
đșđž If youâre in the US, you can find all your links right here.
đŹđ§ If youâre in the UK, you can purchase from Waterstones, Amazon, Blackwellâs, Bookshop, Foyleâs, Hive, or WH Smith.
đŠđș If youâre in Australia, you can buy from Dymocks, Booktopia, Readings, Amazon or QBD.
And wherever you live, you can add it as to-read on Goodreads.
Weâd love to give you audio links, but thatâs harder to do, as we get constantly redirected to the Aussie sites. You can grab your audio copy wherever you get your audiobooks!
Oh, and finally, if youâve already read Red Star Rebels and you just want more, you can get your own version of the t-shirt Hunter steals borrows and wears throughout the book. Head here to check it out.
See you soon for more chats â in the meantime, happy reading!
