I love the idea of the index cards with the few things to always remember! I often think of things like that that I need to sprinkle throughout but haven't figured out a way to remember and implement them. Will definitely be trying this!

I tried it during my last round of revisions and it was great. Highly recommend.

Loved this episode! It was especially helpful and validating to me to hear that it’s perfectly fine to have a small “hype team” of sorts to cheer you in during the first draft, leaving only positive comments for you to see and giving their critiques once it’s finished - that’s something I thought of doing months ago but the sister I asked to do it hasn’t been super reliable on that front… so it’s time to find a couple other people!

Thank you for sharing your publishing journey with us!!

Also comforting to know that published authors need this not just us! I hope you find your hype team Sylvia!

Writing books is hard, and first drafts are such fragile things. It's important to have readers who will treat them gently! We all need a hype team to help get us where we want to go.

Really enjoyed hearing about your individual approaches to editing. I could talk about, and listen to other writers talking about 'process' all day long, but there aren't so many interviews/other resources out there where authors talk about it in the context of editing, so this was great! Thanks so much.
